ROTZLER supports regional pre-school facilities

10.12.09
At the Dora-Merian pre-school
Providing support for projects that promote children and young people is a tradition that ROTZLER, the winch manufacturer from Steinen, holds extremely dear. This year, not just one, but two regional facilities benefited from the generosity of the company.

The first of these is the Dora-Merian playschool in Höllstein. With the help of ROTZLER's donation, the facility is having a wooden adventure playground consisting of huts on stilts constructed in its gardens. As a result, the playschool's interestingly designed outdoor area will soon boast a further piece of attractive playground equipment that will give the 68 children between the ages of 2 and 6 an opportunity to practise and develop their social skills. This adventure playground provides three different levels that are perfect for any number of role play games. Regina Doppstadt, who has been the head of the facility for 10 years, is particularly pleased about the speed with which the project has progressed. The joint funding provided by the facility's support association and ROTZLER almost completely covered the project's EUR 5000 price tag. An order to build the playground equipment has already been passed to a woodworking company so that the equipment will be ready for the children to enjoy in spring 2010.
The 40 children who attend the "Sozialpädagogische Kindergarten" in Hauingen and their head, Alexander Droews, also have good reason to smile. Thanks to ROTZLER's donation, defective furniture and equipment can finally be replaced with new items. The privately run pre-school facility for child care and education provides competent pedagogic support for groups of up to 10 children who are looked after by two to three teachers. The children attending the facility are, among other things, afflicted by general developmental disorders, but many also suffer with language development disorders, problems with their gross and fine motor skills or life skills. To say thank you for the donation, the children presented Christoph Friedrich, ROTZLER's CFO, and Renate Berger, ROTZLER's head of HR, with pictures they had painted themselves and a self-made Christmas mobile.

Visiting the "Tigerenten" (Tiger Ducks) group
"By supporting these projects, ROTZLER is making a meaningful contribution to promoting and furthering children and in so doing has made it possible to specifically cater to the special needs of individual children. It is a great pleasure for us to take this opportunity of showing our continued social commitment to the region in this way" said Christoph Friedrich, who along with Renate Berger presented the respective cheques to the heads of the facilities concerned.
